Sunday Morning Service @ 10:15 am
Our Sunday morning service led by Pastor Mike Gray begins at 10:15 am and will last until about 11:45 am.
What to Expect on a Sunday Morning
Once you arrive at Newington Baptist Church, you will be welcomed by a community of people that are genuinely excited to see you.
We have greeters stationed at each of the entrances to hand out bulletins for the service. The bulletin contains all the information about what is happening in the church as well as what to expect during the service.
Along with our greeters, our welcome center is staffed with people willing to point you in the right direction. There’s also coffee and tea available in case you need some help waking up!
If you desire to place your children under the age of 4 in one of our nursery classrooms, then our welcome center can guide you to the right place.
If you have children between the ages of 4 and 7, then they are welcome to join in KidzWorship. They are released midway through the morning service, right before the preaching of God’s Word. Just follow the herd of joyful children as they eagerly race to their classroom after our time of worship through song and offering.
Of course, you’re welcome to have your children stay with you during the entire worship service. We love having children join us, and you’ll see plenty of other families doing the same.
Our congregation is made up of all age ranges, from the brand new baby to our cherished 99 year old Mr. Hall. Because of this, our church tends to have a relaxed and traditional atmosphere. You’ll quickly notice that people are dressed in a variety of attire from dresses and dress shirts to jeans and tennis shoes. We hope you’ll come in what you’re most comfortable in!
The Sunday morning service includes a mix of modern and traditional music, and the congregation is encouraged to sing along with the worship team.
Pastor Mike teaches through whole books of the Bible as well as topically, explaining the Bible in context while relating it to our current times.
If you have prayer or pastoral questions, the pastors and deacons are available for you at the close of each service. Simply make your way to the front of the sanctuary and talk with one of them.
Newington Baptist Church is filled with people who genuinely love the Lord and are eager to fulfill the mission of the church.
We provide time before, during, and after the service for interaction because we believe that Jesus is made visible by how we love one another. Our time of conversation and fellowship is cherished among our members, and we look forward to getting to know you, too!
